Katsina State Government Receives Report on Hisbah Board Investigation

The Katsina State Government has received a comprehensive report on the investigation into the activities of the Hisbah Board personnel, following widespread allegations and viral videos that have raised concerns among the public. The report was presented to the government by the committee tasked with the investigation, which was chaired by the Honorable Commissioner of Youth and Support Development, Dr. Aliyu Lawal Shargalle.
During the presentation, Dr. Shargalle detailed the committee's work, which included visits to Kano to study the operations of the Hisbah Board there, interactions with security agencies, and testimonies from victims who had reported misconduct by Hisbah personnel. The investigation was thorough, covering all terms of reference provided to the committee, and culminated in a set of findings and recommendations aimed at addressing the issues raised.
"On behalf of the committee, we would like to submit this report to the state government. We have made a thorough investigation and believe that, inshallah, the government will come up with solutions to most of the problems," Dr. Shargalle stated.
Following the presentation, the Secretary to the Katsina State Government, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari, expressed the government's commitment to addressing the findings of the report. He emphasized that the government, under the leadership of His Excellency Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, remains dedicated to ensuring that the Hisbah Board fulfills its intended role of reducing societal vices and improving the lives of the people of Katsina State.
"I want to assure you that the government will seriously look into all the recommendations of the report and will try to implement them for the benefit of the Hisbah Board, the government, and the people of Katsina State," Barrister Faskari said.
The government has acknowledged the efforts of the committee and assured that the necessary support will be provided to enhance the operations of the Hisbah Board, ensuring it functions effectively in line with its original purpose.
The submission of the report marks a significant step in addressing the concerns raised by the public and restoring confidence in the operations of the Hisbah Board in Katsina State.
